Overview
Swimming up close with the Whale Sharks in Oslob is one of Cebu’s highlight destinations. The most popular whale sharks (Rhincodon typus) or locally known as “tuki”. Growing to lengths of 45 ft. and weighing as much as 15 tons is undoubtedly the world’s largest fish. These whale sharks have shown in the waters off Oslob since the 1980s. It draws tourists from all around the world just to experience the most unforgettable 30 minutes of their lives. It is a unique wildlife interaction experience that will surely be one of your best adventure memories.

Note: An additional PHP 500 per person applies for foreign nationals at Oslob Whale Shark Watching, to be collected on the day of the tour.
If you’re staying in Dumaguete, you will be picked up at your accommodation or preferred pick-up location. You will then be dropped off at Sibulan Seaport, where you will take a 20-minute fast craft to Liloan Port. Upon arrival, a van will be waiting to transfer you to Oslob.
Upon arriving at the Oslob Whale Shark Watching Area, you will be directed to attend a briefing session. After completing the briefing, you will wait for your priority number to appear on the screen.
- Wearing of sunscreen is not allowed when swimming with the whale sharks.
- Must bring towels and extra clothes to the trip, wear proper footwear (slippers or aqua shoes).
- Bring an underwater camera if available.
- Bring enough cash, some of the food establishments allow credit card but souvenirs and other merchandise accepts cash only.
- Bring your personal Medicine with a doctor’s prescription if needed for emergency purposes.
- Avoid crowds on weekends and Philippine holidays.
