Overview

Embarking on a 2-day, 1-night hike through Mt. Talinis from the Bediao entry point to the Apolong exit offers an unforgettable experience filled with natural beauty. On Day 1, you’ll start early at Bediao, trekking toward Lake Yagumyum. As you hike, you’ll be surrounded by lush landscapes and diverse flora and fauna. After reaching Lake Yagumyum, take a well-deserved break to enjoy lunch by the serene waters. Next, you’ll head to Nagbalagbag Ridge, where panoramic views of the surrounding mountains and valleys await. By evening, you’ll set up camp at Lake Nailig, where you can prepare dinner and relax by the water, perhaps sharing stories around a campfire as the sun sets.

On Day 2, you’ll rise early to have breakfast and break camp before ascending to the Mt. Talinis summit. The climb is challenging but rewarding, especially as you reach the summit in time to witness the breathtaking views of Negros Island. After soaking in the vistas, you’ll descend to the Kaipohan sulfur vents, where the unique geothermal features provide an intriguing stop. After a lunch break at Rancho Campsite, you’ll make your way to Twin Falls, a perfect spot for a refreshing dip and capturing stunning photos. Finally, you’ll conclude your adventure with a trek to the Apolong exit, filled with memories of the magnificent landscapes and experiences encountered along the way.
