His adventures across the islands of Central Visayas deepened his appreciation for the region’s stunning landscapes, vibrant culture, and warm-hearted communities. This passion for travel and connection soon became a calling—to help others experience the magic of exploration.

But Ernnie’s passion didn’t stop at planning trips—he wanted to experience every adventure firsthand so he could genuinely share it with others. He climbed mountains to understand the thrill and challenges hikers face, dove into the depths of the ocean, earning his freediving and dive master license, so he could guide others with confidence, and personally visited each destination to ensure that every journey he offers is nothing short of extraordinary. For Ernnie, every tour isn’t just a package—it’s a story he’s lived and is now eager to share.

Starting as a freelance tour guide, Ernnie delighted in introducing visitors to the hidden treasures of Dumaguete and its surrounding areas. Each interaction, whether guiding a family to a serene beach or sharing the history of a local landmark, fueled his desire to do more. In 2018, Ernnie took a leap of faith and founded Island Diaries Travel and Tours—a reflection of his dream to create personalized, unforgettable travel experiences.
