These Terms and Conditions govern the relationship between Island Diaries Travel and Tours and its Users. By accessing, using, or obtaining any content, services, or products via this website or any affiliated platforms of Island Diaries Travel and Tours, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms and Conditions. It is the responsibility of Users and Customers to regularly review the most current version of these Terms and Conditions.

1. General Information

•          The website islanddiariesph.com and all associated content and infrastructure are owned and operated by Island Diaries Travel and Tours
•          The website serves as an online platform where Users can book a variety of services, including but not limited to:

  • Joiner Tours
  • Tour Packages
  • Hotel & Resort Accommodations
  • Land and Sea Transfers (Operate soon)
  •  Car Rentals (Operate soon)

•          The Company reserves the right to update, modify, or amend these Terms and Conditions and/or the Privacy Policy at any
  time without prior notice. All updates will be posted on this page, and by continuing to use the website, you agree to the revised terms.
•           By booking through our platform, you enter a direct, legally binding agreement with the hotel, tour operator, or transport
  provider. We act solely as an intermediary, relaying your booking details to the service provider and confirming your reservation on their behalf.

2. User Accounts

a.     Account Creation & Responsibility
To access certain website features, you must create an account with accurate information. You are responsible for keeping your login details, including your password, secure and for all activities under your account. Notify us immediately if you suspect unauthorized access.

b.    Personal Use Only
Your account is for personal use only. Impersonation, creating accounts for others, providing false information, or having multiple accounts is prohibited. We may suspend or terminate your account without notice.

c.     Security Disclaimer
Island Diaries Travel and Tours is not liable for stolen or compromised credentials. Keep your login details secure and report any security issues to us right away.

3. Price Rates

•            All rates and packages are based on current prices. It is subject to change without notice.
•            Prices listed are per person and guaranteed against any surcharge unless otherwise specified.
•            Any additional charges from requests (e.g.,alternative pick-up/drop-off locations, room transfers, or tour upgrades) that alter the agreed services will be your responsibility.

a. Day Tours

•           The prices displayed for Day Tours on the website are inclusive of all applicable taxes and fees, unless otherwise specified. The price listed is for the day tours and does not include optional add-ons, upgrades, or additional services (e.g., gratuities, insurance, etc.), which may incur extra charges.

b. Joiner Tours

•           The prices displayed for Joiner Tours on the website include the cost of the tour for each individual participant, and are inclusive of all applicable taxes and fees, unless otherwise stated. These prices apply to tours where multiple participants join the same tour group, sharing transportation, activities, and services.

c. Tour Packages

•           The prices listed for Tour Packages on the website are per person and are inclusive of all applicable taxes, service fees, and standard inclusions, such as transportation, accommodations, meals (if specified), and guided services. Any additional services or upgrades (e.g.,private transfers, extra excursions, meals not specified in the itinerary, etc.) may incur extra charges.
•           Hotel accommodations are subject to availability
  at the time of booking. Alternative options will be provided if the preferred
  hotel is fully booked.
•           Room preferences (e.g., bed type, view) are
  subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed.
•           Standard accommodations are based on twin
  sharing or triple sharing arrangements, depending on the package selected. Additional charges may apply for single occupancy. 

4. Cancellation and Refund Policy

•           Cancellation requests must be made in writing via email or official communication channels.
•           Refunds are processed as follows:

DAY TRIPS AND LAND TRANSFERS:

• Free cancellation up 48 hours prior to departure time.

TOUR PACKAGE (TOURS+HOTELS)

• 14 days before departure date =non-refundable
• 15-20 days prior to departure date = 45% of the amount will be refunded
• 21-30 days prior to departure date = 65% of the amount will be refunded
• 31 days prior to departure date = 100% of the amount will be refunded
•           No refunds will be issued for no-shows or unused services.
•           No refunds will be given if clients shorten their stay at the resort, hotel, or tour package.

a. Cancellations due to weather conditions

•           FULL REFUND will be given if cancelled due to bad weather at least 1 day before the tour starts. Transportation part cannot be refunded if onboarded.
•           In case of force majeure in the Philippines which prevents you to continue your travel in the Philippines, you will also receive a full refund on all products.

b. Promotional Tours

•           Discounted or promo tours are non-refundable, non cancellable, and non-rebookable unless stated otherwise.

c. How to Cancel or Change a Booking

•           Changes or cancellations must be requested via email. No fees for simple changes within the allowed window, though costs may vary. For tour packages, contact Island Diaries Travel and Tours. Major changes may incur a 15% service fee of total tour price.

5. Booking & Payment

a. Day Tours

•           By booking a day tour with Island Diaries Travel and Tours, you agree to the following terms and conditions.
• Payment Options
  • You can opt to pay the full price of the tour at the time of booking.
  • Alternatively, you can choose to pay a 50% deposit at the time of booking to secure your spot. The remaining 50% balance must be settled prior to or on the day of the tour.

• For the remaining balance, you can pay through the following method:
  • Via our secure online payment system(website)For bank transfer, Island Diaries will send you bank details if you choose this payment method
  • You can also use various e-wallet services available through our website or upon request
  • Alternatively, the remaining balance can be paid in cash before the tour begins on the scheduled day

b. Tour Packages

•           By booking our tour packages, a deposit of 50% is required upon booking to confirm the reservation.
•           The remaining balance must be settled at least 14 days before the tour date.
•            Island Diaries Travel and Tours website accept payment by (1) bank transfer, (2) credit card with additional service fees, or (3) other accept payment options as listed on our Booking Procedures. The remaining balance could also be settled through the same payment gateway. Late payments may result in cancellation of the booking.
•           Your travel voucher will be emailed to you once payment has been received.

6. Itinerary

•           Suggested itineraries are based on estimates of distances and travel times. It serves as a general guidance only and may not be based on the latest available information.
•           The itinerary may change based on your group’s pace, weather, or unforeseen circumstances.
•           The driver/tour coordinator/guide can modify the itinerary if needed for the group’s benefit.
•           Guests must stick to the allotted time for activities and follow the tour schedule.
•           For shared tours, late arrivals beyond the grace period will not be accommodated or refunded.
•           If flying in/out of Manila, coordinate with your travel adviser to align flight schedules with your itinerary. We are not liable for expenses due to flight delays or cancellations.

7. Pickup Information

•           During the booking process, you will have the option to select your pickup location and desired starting time. If you fail to show up at the scheduled pickup time and location as indicated in your booking, your reservation will be non-refundable.
•          If you’re unsure of your pickup location at the time of booking, you can update it later, up to 24 hours before the tour departure. To make changes, simply click the link in your voucher email to update your pickup details. If you don’t receive a confirmation of your location update, please contact the phone number provided on your voucher.

8. Child Policy

• For tour packages, all children are considered as one (1) person and will be charged accordingly.
• This policy applies only to Dumaguete-based private day tours unless otherwise stated:
  • Minors (6 years and above) will be charged the adult rate
  • Children (3-5 years old) receive a 500 pesos discount off the adult rate
  • Infants (under 2 years old) travel free of charge (FOC)

9. Health and Medical Information

•           By booking a tour to Island Diaries, you agree to provide accurate and complete medical information.
•           Pregnancy is considered a medical condition and must be disclosed at the time of booking.
•           Island Diaries Travel and Tours reserves the right to deny permission to travel or participate in any tour activities if your physical or mental condition is deemed unfit for travel or if you pose a risk to yourself or others. Any such decision will be at your own risk and expense.

10. Consent for Promotional Use

•           By joining any of our tours, you acknowledge and agree that Island Diaries Travel and Tours may capture photographs, video recordings, or other forms of media that feature you during the tour. These images or videos may be used for marketing, promotional, or advertising purposes, including but not limited to websites, social media, brochures, presentations, and other public-facing materials. Additionally, any feedback, reviews, or testimonials you provide may be utilized in similar ways to promote
  our services.

11. Travel Insurance

•           Island Diaries tour and Tours packages do not include Travel Insurance. We highly recommend that you purchase full coverage travel insurance of your own.

12. Disclaimer

•           You are required and strongly advised to read travel advisories, news updates, and other relevant information to familiarize yourself with potential risks and hazards associated with traveling to your selected destinations. Island Diaries Travel and Tours is not liable for any loss, delay, or damage resulting from your failure to comply with the documentation requirements mandated by government or tourism authorities for destinations featured on this site.
•           Island Diaries Travel and Tours may contact users through electronic means, such as email or messaging, whenever necessary.
•           Uninterrupted access to this site is not guaranteed, as it may be subject to maintenance—either scheduled or unscheduled—or system outages.
•           Island Diaries Travel and Tours reserves the right to change prices, terms, and the availability of products or services featured on this site at any time without prior notification.

13. Limitation of Liability

•           Island Diaries Travel and Tours assumes no responsibility and shall not be liable for any damages, losses, or expenses arising from your access to, use of, or browsing on this website, or from downloading any materials, including but not limited to data, text, images, videos, or audio. This includes, without limitation, damage to your computer equipment, software, or other property due to viruses, malware, or other harmful components encountered during your use of the website. Furthermore, Island Diaries Travel and Tours shall not be held responsible for any errors, omissions, or inaccuracies in the information provided on this website, or for any disruptions, delays, or failures in performance resulting from technical issues, acts of nature, or other events beyond our control. By using this website, you acknowledge and agree to assume full responsibility for your actions and use of the content provided.
