Siquijor, renowned for its picturesque landscapes and traditional churches, is also blessed with an abundance of historical and natural landmarks. Visitors from all over the world are always drawn to this place by its beautiful surroundings and kind locals. The province is a great place for a getaway because of its overall peacefulness. Because of the enormous swarms of fireflies that were housed in the many Molave trees that grow here, Siquijor gave off an eerie glow that caused the Spanish colonists to name it the Island of Fire, or Isla del Fuego.

Island Paradise Day Trip
The Siquijor Coastal Day Tour was absolutely the highlight of my Philippines vacation! Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly, making sure we had plenty of time at each location. Cambugahay Falls was breathtaking – the water was the perfect temperature and jumping from the rope swing was so much fun! Salagdoong Beach had the whitest sand and clearest water I’ve ever seen. I especially appreciated that our guide took us to less crowded spots for the best photos.The tour was well-organized and worth every peso. The air-conditioned van was comfortable, and lunch at Triad Restaurant offered delicious local cuisine with a beautiful view. If you’re visiting the Philippines, don’t miss this tour – Siquijor truly lives up to its mystical reputation! I only wish we could have stayed longer on this magical island.
