Siquijor, renowned for its picturesque landscapes and traditional churches, is also blessed with an abundance of historical and natural landmarks. Visitors from all over the world are always drawn to this place by its beautiful surroundings and kind locals. The province is a great place for a getaway because of its overall peacefulness. Because of the enormous swarms of fireflies that were housed in the many Molave trees that grow here, Siquijor gave off an eerie glow that caused the Spanish colonists to name it the Island of Fire, or Isla del Fuego.

- Must bring towels and extra clothes to the trip, wear proper footwear (slippers or aqua shoes).
- Bring underwater camera if available.
- Wear sunscreen for heat protection.
- Bring enough cash in Philippine peso currency, some of the food establishments allow credit card but souvenirs and other merchandise accepts cash only.
- Bring your personal Medicine with a doctor’s prescription if needed for emergency purposes.
- Smoking is allowed but is limited to designated areas.

It was nice visiting Siquijor, especially since I’d been planning since last year, though most spots were crowded due to summer and we had our grandma with us, we just did some sightseeing and ended our trip at triad cafe
